In the heart of Veneto, the promotion of the region's food and wine heritage and landscape finds a strategic tool in the Regional Coordination of Wine and Food Trails of Veneto. This body, established in 2018, aims to create a network between the various food and wine trails to strengthen visibility, the quality of the tourist offer, institutional coordination and territorial development.
The ‘Wine and Flavour Routes’ are themed tourist itineraries that promote DOP/IGP wines and typical agri-food products from the Veneto region. The routes involved in the Coordination are:
Strada del Prosecco e Vini dei Colli ConeglianoValdobbiadene
Strada del Vino del Montello e Colli Asolani
Strada dei Vini Colli Euganei
Strada del Vino Arcole
Strada del Vino Soave
Strada del Vino Lessini Durello
Strada del Vino Valpolicella
Strada del Riso Vialone Nano Veronese IGP
Strada del Radicchio Rosso di Treviso e Variegato di Castelfranco
Strada dei Marroni IGP e dei sapori dei Colli Trevigiani
The Regional Coordination operates according to several strategic guidelines:
Integrated promotion and communication
The aim is to strengthen the network of routes in order to attract food and wine tourism and promote local areas, wineries, farms and typical products.
Network between entities
It acts as a link between Strade, producers, accommodation facilities, local authorities and the Region, promoting operational synergies and shared projects.
Quality of the offer and tourism development
In addition to wine, it involves food and wine, PDO/PGI products, and the experience of the territory (landscape, culture, hospitality).
Events and system initiatives
For example, the Go To Veneto event is promoted by the Coordination to connect wineries, farms, accommodation facilities and restaurants in various themed itineraries.
A shared system for Veneto's flavours
The Regional Coordination of Wine and Food Trails of Veneto represents a strategic step towards promoting the region's food and wine heritage. Acting as a platform for connection and promotion, it allows the region's excellence to shine through, transforming wine and food trails into true tourist experiences. For the future, the key will be to transform the network into effective operational collaboration, focusing on quality, authentic storytelling and sustainability.
