The province of Treviso

AMONG VENETIAN VILLAS, HILLS AND AUTHENTIC FLAVOURS

The province of Treviso offers slow and authentic tourism, far from the mass tourism routes but close to the major cities of Veneto (Venice, Padua, Vicenza). It's a land where beauty is discreet yet widespread: in the landscapes, in the agricultural products, in the wines, and in the kindness of the people.

The province of Treviso, in the green heart of Veneto, is a land where art, nature, and flavor coexist in perfect harmony. From the elegant Palladian villas to the Prosecco hills, from the fertile radicchio countryside to the fortified villages of Asolo and Castelfranco, every corner tells a story of tradition and beauty.

Treviso is often called "the joyful and loving March," and for good reason: here, visitors find a perfect balance between culture, good food, wine, and sincere hospitality.

Treasures and Atmospheres of the Region

  • Treviso City: a jewel crisscrossed by canals and porticoes, with the Duomo, Piazza dei Signori, and the lively atmosphere of its markets.
  • Venetian villas and historic villages: Maser, Fanzolo, Castelfranco Veneto, Asolo, and Conegliano tell the story of the Venetian Renaissance and the life of the Venetian nobility.
  • Nature and UNESCO Hills: The Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019, a dreamlike landscape shaped by vineyards.

The Treviso area is crisscrossed by three main food and wine itineraries, each linked to a symbolic local product.
Exploring them means discovering the landscapes, flavors, and people that represent the most authentic soul of the Veneto region.

  • Prosecco and Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG Hills Wine Route
This is Italy's oldest wine route (established in 1966), and runs through a unique territory, now recognized by UNESCO as the Prosecco Hills Cultural Landscape.
It winds for approximately 90 km between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, offering breathtaking views and countless wineries where you can taste Prosecco Superiore DOCG, a symbol of Made in Italy sparkling wine.

  • Montello and Colli Asolani Wine Route
To the southwest of the province, between the Piave River and Asolo, lies a charming region: wooded hills, small villages, and ancient rural traditions.
This is where elegant, full-bodied wines are produced, such as Montello Rosso DOCG, Colli Asolani DOC, and a more delicate Prosecco, Prosecco Asolo DOCG.

  • Treviso Red Radicchio and Castelfranco Variegato IGP Wine Route
This route celebrates the iconic vegetables of the Treviso area: Treviso Red Radicchio IGP (both early and late varieties) and Castelfranco Variegato IGP.
This route crosses the fertile plain between Treviso, Castelfranco, Zero Branco, and Roncade, offering a journey through flavors, agricultural traditions, and gastronomic culture.
